Data governance is at the heart of effective decision-making,my goal has always been to create environments where information is accurate, compliant and usable  empowering organizations to make data-driven choices with confidence.

In every program I’ve supported, I’ve seen how well-governed data leads to stronger decisions, safer operations and smoother delivery.
My work in data governance and quality coordination focuses on developing clear structures that ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.

 

Key areas of focus include:

  • Metadata Management: defining and maintaining the “data about data” that gives context and traceability to all information assets.

  • Data Cataloging: organizing enterprise data for easy discovery, lineage, and ownership tracking.

  • GDPR Compliance: embedding privacy and protection measures to ensure all processes meet global data protection standards.

  • Collibra Integration: leveraging Collibra for enterprise data cataloging, stewardship, and governance workflows.

  • Salesforce Integration: aligning customer data with business processes to enhance reporting accuracy and service delivery.

 

These tools and frameworks ensure not just data quality, but accountability creating a culture where data can be trusted and reused confidently.

My approach combines policy, people and platforms.
 

Governance is not just a technical task, it’s about aligning people with processes that make data meaningful.

Across multiple programmes.

I’ve developed and implemented governance strategies that:

  • Define data ownership and stewardship roles.

  • Set up cataloging and classification frameworks for faster retrieval and auditing.

  • Apply Excel-based quality controls for early error detection.

  • Integrate Collibra workflows for data validation, approvals, and reporting.

  • Use SharePoint libraries to centralize governance documentation.

  • Map data lineage between platforms such as Salesforce, GIS and project databases.

  • Contributed towards Data Literacy delivery

This hands-on experience has helped organizations including local government improve compliance, enhance data confidence, and reduce time spent resolving data issues.

Certification & Growth

Having achieved the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification, I continue to apply its principles across every aspect of my work.
This qualification has strengthened my mastery of the DAMA framework, ensuring that every governance structure I design aligns with recognized global best practices.

I am also actively involved in data community initiatives that promote literacy, mentorship, and responsible data usage helping others understand how effective governance supports transparency, innovation, and sustainability.
